To provide instructional design services, collaborate with e-Learning staff, university faculty, and subject matter experts to design and develop quality online learning content and courses.
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience in instructional design or a related field. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to quickly learn a program or application. Experience using authorware (e.g.: H5P, Articulate, Lectora, Captivate, Softchalk, Camtasia, etc.). Experience with a Learning Management System (LMS). Demonstrated experience in designing curriculum, online learning content, and interactive learning modules. Ability to test, identify, and troubleshoot software technical issues. High level of organization, with ability to work with production schedules, deadlines, and deliverables. Ability to write step-by-step instructions and video transcripts. Ability to create videos and screen capture with narration. Excellent organizational and analytical skills. Ability to communicate effectively with others.
Master's degree in Instructional Design and 1-3 years experience in an online learning department (or equivalent). Experience using Moodle LMS. Intermediate skills in Adobe software: Acrobat, Illustrator, Photoshop. Skills in production and/or acquisition of online instructional materials including graphics, videos, and interactive content. Familiarity with HTML. Experience in teaching. Experience with design, development and implementation of online courses. Knowledge of grading rubrics and course assessments, and online course quality standards. Knowledge of digital accessibility and ADA compliance. Ability to prioritize multiple collaborative projects.
