NCARB’s Experience + Education (E+E) team is searching for an outreach manager (licensed architect) to travel the country and conduct outreach to schools, firms, allied professional organizations, and conferences to build relationships and share information on the pathway to licensure and certification as an architect.

About the Team The E+E team manages several of the Council’s programs and services, including the Architectural Experience Program® (AXP®), Integrated Path to Architectural Licensure (IPAL), Architect Licensing Advisors Community, NCARB Certification programs, outreach, education and continuing education initiatives, and international recognition initiatives.
About the Position As outreach manager, you would report to the senior manager of E+E and take on a highly collaborative role as part of a dynamic team that works across the Council and with a wide range of professionals. We take great pride in developing and delivering outreach programs for schools, firms, allied professional organizations, and conferences to ensure candidates for licensure and architects can make informed decisions on their future.
As outreach manager, you would play a critical role in the ongoing development and improvement of the Council’s outreach efforts, building relationships and awareness of the Council’s architectural licensure programs and services. As part of your duties, you will:
Increase awareness of Council programs and services and serve as a resource for multiple stakeholders
Provide training, technical assistance, and delivery of outreach education programs and services
Collaborate, build, and maintain relationships with colleagues, volunteers, schools, firms, and allied professional organizations to effectively develop and implement outreach goals and initiatives
Partner with other departments in the development of communications, campaigns, messaging, and outreach materials
Manage, participate, and seek opportunities for outreach projects and events
Collect and compile information regarding program outcomes; perform data analysis and assess metrics to inform NCARB programs and outreach initiatives
Cultivate, manage, and train the Architect Licensing Advisors Community
Collaborate in the development of the Licensing Advisors Summits and retreats
At a minimum, you have:
An open, positive attitude, and enjoy working as part of a team
A degree from an architecture program accredited by the NAAB (B.Arch., M.Arch., D.Arch.)
Obtained an initial license to practice architecture within the past four years in at least one NCARB jurisdiction and meet all NCARB certification requirements
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with emphasis on presentation abilities
Demonstrated experience and strong skills in building superior relationships with clients/customers and a wide range of professionals
Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Demonstrated proficiency using technology and a wide variety of software applications including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
Strong electronic file management skills; and, excellent calendar management skills using Outlook
Ability to travel 70% of the time including weekends
Ideally, you have:
A passion for public speaking in front of large audiences
A passion for frequent work-related travel
Curiosity about others’ experiences and career goals
A passion for networking and being around people
Experience supporting volunteers and facilitating committee work
It would be awesome if you had:
Ability to speak more than one language
Excellent business writing skills, spelling, and grammar
Experience working with teams in a structured project management system such as Agile
