***This role will be filled as an RN or as a Physical Therapist***
The Safe Patient Mobilization Clinical Coordinator functions as a clinical resource in SPM practice, coaching and leading trainings to ensure competency in mobility check workflows and use of safe patient handling equipment. The clinical coordinator works in partnership with the Director, SPM project coordinator, and SPM consultant to remove barriers to safe equipment use and lead culture change in safe patient handling practices at OHSU.
Education: BS, BA, MS or DPT in Physical Therapy
Proven leadership in project management and program implementation in a healthcare setting
Job related knowledge, skills and abilities:
Experience in complex organization environments.
Ability to effectively manage multiple conflicting priorities.
Proficient with word processing, computational spreadsheet (e.g., Excel), and presentation software.
Registrations, Certifications, and/or Licenses:
Current State of Oregon Physical Therapy license; OR
Oregon Registered Nurse
Current American Heart Healthcare Provider BLS Certification
2 5 years of demonstrated success in utilizing safe patient handling programs
2 5 years progressive experience in training and coaching of clinical staff
Registrations, Certifications and/or Licenses: Certification in safe patient handling and mobilization
