Position Summary: UC Treasury is currently seeking a Sr. Treasury Specialist to join its collaborative and supportive team. In this role, you will be working in a dynamic and agile environment, requiring excellent verbal and written communication skills to deliver UC Treasury's strategies and services across the University system. The Specialist will partner with campus and health system colleagues and affiliates to bring efficient banking-related solutions to their operations. Managing systemwide bank account documentation and services represents one aspect of the Specialist's role. Integral to working with systemwide colleagues, the Specialist will also represent the department as the internal expert on Treasury systems and manage access and controls related to these systems.
Having an aptitude for using technology and having curiosity to try new technology are critical characteristics to the success of the Treasury team. Redesigning processes, documenting those processes, and working with Treasury colleagues to improve procedures are required to support Treasury's key initiatives. UC Treasury seeks a new team member who will not only be a participant of the technological advances we plan to make, but also be a leader exhibiting proven change management skills. Job Close Date:
Design, implement, document, train, and maintain highly complex processes, systems and new technological tools used to analyze and control systemwide Regental banking operations. Responsible for bank account management, including bank account setup, maintenance and signatory administration. Responsible for Treasury systems administration, and banking system portal access and controls.
Job Requirements Advanced degree in Business or Finance related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
Possesses advanced working knowledge of Treasury systems, general banking rules, practices and financial systems integrations.
In depth ability to handle difficult conversations with internal stakeholders. Requires exceptional problem-solving and communication skills in varied situations; oftentimes working with internal and external parties possessing conflicting interests.
Identifies and analyzes information from a variety of sources. Requires the ability to provide solutions when issues are escalated.
Requires the ability to effectively present complex finance-related information in a clear and concise manner, both in writing and verbally.
Must be highly proficient in use of Microsoft Office and common desktop/web applications. Takes initiative to research and evaluate new technologies that improve Treasury operations and communications.
Advanced knowledge of banking products with understanding of new product development opportunities provided by bankers and/or other financial institutions. Must have an aptitude for advanced technologies or minimally be willing to explore new technologies for analysis and deployment.
Possesses systems integration knowledge and implementation experience. Project management skills with proven successful execution of projects. Ability to assess risks, provide alternative solutions, and react with professionalism and drive. Required
Professional certification preferred, specifically CTP
Demonstrates strong understanding of change management processes with proven success in implementing change management programs across an organization.
Must possess strong presentation skills, from small to large sized audiences, across the University system. Public speaking opportunities may also occur outside of the University. Preferred
