The University of Pittsburgh is seeking an Associate Director for the Panthers Forward program. Panthers Forward is an innovative initiative announced by Chancellor Patrick Gallagher in Fall 2018. The Panthers Forward program is the first of its kind and is committed to addressing student debt and affordability at the University of Pittsburgh through a pay-it-forward model.
The Associate Director position is an integral part of the Panthers Forward Office. In order to successfully grow and develop the program, the Associate Director will collaborate with multiple divisions at the University and manage the engagement and fundraising efforts for the alumni of the program as well as its digital aspects. The incumbent will work with University Communications and PAE communications to strategically communicate and engage the Panthers Forward alumni.
The Associate Director will also handle aspects of the Panthers Forward social media, as well as determine the most appropriate solicitation strategy. This position will report to the Director of Panthers Forward and be the point person for all Panthers Forward alumni.
Bachelor's degree required, master's preferred. This position will collaborate with multiple divisions at the University. Must have strong problem solving, leadership, and management skills. The incumbent will manage the annual 150 Panthers Forward alumni as well as relationships will many colleagues across campus. 6-9 years relevant experience is required. Professional experience in higher education, fundraising, program planning, and student development is highly desirable.
