NET, Nebraska’s PBS and NPR public media stations is seeking a Major and Planned Giving Officer who will be responsible for identifying and securing local and regional major and planned gifts and grants in support of the NET Foundations primarily by identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewardship of major donors and planned gifts. High level candidates will: Develop and implement a solicitation strategy for each donor and each prospect. Prepare written proposals, informational materials, endowment agreements, and gift illustrations. Maintains working knowledge of current planned gift instruments and develop materials and strategies that support planned gift fundraising. Assist the Director of Major and Planned Giving and the Assistant General Manager of Development and Marketing in department activities to attain foundation goals as well as participate in organization planning and development.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communication, sales or related field plus three (3) years' experience non-profit fundraising or development or sales. Work history will demonstrate knowledge of marketing, development, and project management. Skill and ability to promote and sell the benefits of investing in NET and public broadcasting to individuals with the capacity to give a major gift. Ability to work with diverse constituencies. Excellent interpersonal and oral/written communications skills essential. All applicants must possess a valid driver's license and the ability to pass a DMV background check authorizing them to operate university vehicles.
Ideal candidate will have experience in public broadcasting and familiarity of donor management software.
