Job Summary: Provides a broad range of communications support to departmental programs including writing and editing, graphic design, photography, video editing, project planning, event marketing, event planning, and website management. Responsible for researching and generating ideas to develop high quality, creative materials that represents the college's brand appropriately. Essential Duties: Manage multiple internal websites including the main CAPPA webpage. Update CAPPA website to keep information current and accurate, edit requests from staff and faculty, adding visuals/photographs, maintaining constantly changing pages such as faculty/staff profiles, accolades, student employment opportunities, lectures/events and news items, manage the UTA web modernization project for CAPPA, work with UTA OIT to make structural changes to the website, manage multiple internal websites. Ensure the web is in compliance with University policy and oversee utilization in conjunction with UTA’s content management system. Track news items related to staff, faculty and student accomplishments, collect news articles, links and images. Collect information to design and create interactive website news items, newsletters and social media promotion. Managing CAPPA newsletter by collecting news and managing the design. Work with staff to send to appropriate channels. Write stories about CAPPA achievements to be posted on the CAPPA website. Design recruitment material, digital elements for MyEmma recruiting emails for departments, event branding, social media, digital signage, UTA events calendar and misc items: internal communications, award certificates, advertisements, and event invitations. Provide communications and management support for the Deans events. Promote, brand, organize, facilitate event logistics. Use social media platforms to write informational posts about CAPPA and its students, faculty, staff and events. Strategize with the Associate Dean, Academic Recruiter, and Program Directors to utilize social media platforms for recruitment and retention of students. Be proactive in maintaining existing social media platforms and seeking new one to promote CAPPA. Track social media activity, delivering monthly reports to the Associate Dean. Photograph and video CAPPA events, student work and critique sessions for posting on the CAPPA website and use by the Academic Recruiter. Provide images and videos for the college marketing initiatives. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree, experience in higher education, communications experience or the equivalent experience. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with two (2) years of experience or more in communications, graphic design or related field. Project management experience desirable. Must have the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Must possess an excellent attention to detail, accuracy and quality in written products. Strong writing skills and highly organized. Must have experience effectively working with individuals of varying levels of responsibility. Must have the ability to take initiative and make decisions in a changing and dynamic environment. Must have strong interpersonal relationship and have the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Microsoft suite, InDesign, Photoshop, adobe acrobat, adobe creative suite, understanding of design elements (color, layout, visual material). Excellent writing and verbal skills. Project management, event management, photography and photo editing. Videography and video editing, social media skills, website management. Ability to multi-task and work to tight deadlines.
