This position is responsible for political giving administration, specified Government Relations projects, including strategic development of project management dashboards and legislative and regulatory tracking reports, support of federal and state grassroots to build relationships with elected officials, government personnel, and trade associations in order to advance Tenet�s public policy goals. Support the department in budget preparation, policy research, presentation preparation, and other special projects, representing the department in various local, state, and federal interaction. The position oversees management of a policy library, writing advocacy materials. The position also will assist the Government Relations department and hospital management teams in building relationships with elected officials, government personnel and trade associations to advance Tenet�s public policy goals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Politics, Communications or related curriculum recommended. At least 2 years of community advocacy, political campaign, federal/state legislative, or government relations experience in a past-faced environment. Project management experience. High level of competence with business software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational and planning ability. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle multiple tasks.
