Job Description:

The UAS Range Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating all repair and logistics to maintain proper integrity of managed ranges. This will include working with contract and vendor personnel to monitor applicable work orders, organize general upkeep and repair work, as well as ensure 100% accountability of organizational assets. The Range Coordinator will be responsible for working closely with the Operations and Maintenance Teams to ensure range space is scheduled in conjunction with client needs and research objectives.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the repairs and logistics that help maintain the ranges and facilities.
  • Submit and manage all work orders for all ranges.
  • Organize meetings with key components (Contractors and SSC) to come up with project timelines and keep track and follow up till completion. Provide and receive updates to University, System, customer, maintenance, and contract personnel on status of all range areas.
  • Work closely with inventory management to maintain the inventory of tools, supplies, daily use items, consumables and hard-to-find/critical parts.
  • Identify the needed maintenance and plan accordingly to ensure preventative maintenance on all range areas is completed and plan repairs or coordinate contracted services.
  • Write internal communication documents, including handouts and emails, to inform team members of important notices.
  • Implement and update the approved range refurbishment program in accordance with guidelines set out by the Management team.
  • Present progress and results of tasks to management and other interested parties in person or in digital format.
  • Establish contact lists of collaborators and vendors and update information periodically.
  • Perform additional duties as needed.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Experience in coordinating and scheduling.
  • Additional experience may be used as a substitution for the minimum education requirements:
    • High School diploma and four (4) years of related experience.
    • Associates degree and two (2) years of related experience.
  • Intermediate skills in Windows and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two (2) years related experience in coordinating and scheduling.
