Job Description Summary: The Manager, Campaign Planning and Engagement, supports the execution of Webster University's comprehensive campaign efforts by managing the campaign plan through project management of key priorities. In collaboration internal stakeholders, as well as the strategic use of donor and prospect data insights and reporting, this position will ensure effective fundraising strategies and action plans are in place. The Manager will develop and clearly communicate campaign timelines, monitor progress against goals, and coordinate events as part of the broader campaign engagement plan. Together, these activities will ensure campaign planning remains on schedule.
The incumbent must possess a combination of exceptional project management, relationship management and communication skills in order to build and manage strong alignment across partners and ensure high-quality performance. While not a technical role, the candidate's ability to deploy data-driven approaches by leveraging the university's CRM toolsets and informing campaign plans through data and report analytics. This position will report to the Associate Vice President for Advancement.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelors Degree 3-5 years of cross-functional project management business administration experience Professional experience that includes campaign planning and execution, preferably in a higher education setting Superb verbal and written communication skills, with excellent organization and prioritization skills Project management experience and a track record of meeting deadlines and high quality delivery in cross-functional team environments The ability to work with a diverse range of partners, including donors, board members and volunteers as well as alumni, faculty, administrators and internal colleagues Self-motivated, thought leader with high energy and the ability to thrive in a high-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus
Essential Duties The Manager, Campaign Planning & Engagement, serves as a member of the Advancement Team and reports to the Associate Vice President for Advancement. Duties include: Develop and oversee dashboards to track prospect plan updates, specific responsibility for high-touch management of Chancellor and executive leaderships prospect and campaign engagement plans Manage, monitor and update the campaign plan of task status; drive and ensure progress against deadlines Manage campaign status meetings, ensure agendas are set and that participants prepare required materials Collaborate with colleagues across Office of Advancement to collect updates on progress and address or mitigate risk of roadblocks to progress Assist Associate Vice President, Advancement in managing standing campaign planning meetings Partner with Development Officers to understand dean and unit-specific campaign planning actions and timelines Develop and manage opportunity pipelines for specific initiatives within the campaign Execute communication plan across internal stakeholders to ensure close alignment
