Christiana Care VNA is hiring a full time Director of Business Development, must be trained as an RN and possess a current DE RN license, to work out of our office in New Castle County, but with responsibility for the entire State of Delaware. Under the direct supervision of the Senior Vice President of the VNA, the Director of Business Development provides oversight of referral services, nurse liaisons, and to marketing/development colleagues. This position is responsible for the growth of business and referrals, alignment with budget, meeting budgeted referral payer mix, etc.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develops and implements Referral service department standardized best pratices, which meet regulatory, state, accreditation requirements and organizational goals
Responsible for developing successful marketing plan which will achieve growth in market share
Collaborates with the health system leaders, marketing managers, external affairs and business development, to achieve health system/VNA annual operating and strategic goals
Leadership of a team of RN's
Provides clinical support and consultation to manager of referral services, home care nurse liaisons statewide and staff
Utilizes evidenced based best practice for all care transition practices/processes between other providers/physicians to the VNA
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors required; Masters level education preferred; Masters must be completed within three years of starting position.
BSN or MSN required; If the successful candidate possesses a BSN then a Masters in Healthcare Administration, Masters in Marketing, may be appropriate
Must possess an RN license to work in Delaware
Three years of management or leadership experience required
Experience in Home Healthcare, Hospice, Skilled Nursing Facility or Hospital preferred
