Position Summary: This position provides analytical, research, reporting, and technical support by mining, extracting and utilizing appropriate data from source systems through analytic reports on a regular and ad-hoc basis that assist in identifying, but not limited to, clinical outcomes, compliance, quality of care issues, tracking specified conditions that assist in the clinical management of patients, supporting quality improvement projects and initiatives, identifying and measuring outcomes of programmatic interventions inclusive of financial analyses.
Responsibilities: - Responsible for source system data analyses, identification of business rules and data elements for data transformation/migration into the data warehouse. Assists with data sharing and reconciliation among the various data systems as well as developing methods for standardizing data collection, database design, validation reports and analysis.
- Works with business units to enable accurate, consistent, and timely tabulation, reporting and executing for both internal and external purposes, whether the data is mined manually or system generated. Discusses business reporting requirements with stakeholders. Documents and assembles requirements to generate reports, charts, scorecards, dashboards, forecasts for business use.
- Track issues with reports, including defects in object logic, schema logic, data quality problems and process errors. Understand complete reporting lifecycle to diagnose problems.
- Determines measures, baselines, tolerances and normal variability for indicators. Able to articulate these concepts and parameters for data presented.
- Utilize tools for monitoring quality of data and assists in development of corrective action plans when issues are discovered.
- Support creation of Data Warehouse and other analytical tools
- Responsible for participating and contributing in cross functional projects.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Bachelors of Science required in engineering, statistical sciences, or computer science required.
- Minimum of 2 years of health care experience required;
- A minimum of 3 years� experience with database and data analysis technology, as well as exposure to project management tools is required
- A minimum of 2 year hands on experience with Microsoft SQL 2000 or 2005 and 1 year experience with use of data warehousing tools such as Cognos, Crystal Reports, Microsoft Access and design experience highly desirable.
