This job is responsible for written premium growth for Flood Solutions, from the assigned and/or developed private flood insurance products program.
Remote work from home position- 75% Travel – extensive travel nationally
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for bringing additional written premium of private flood insurance by building new relationships and/or strengthening existing relationships with assigned accounts. 40%
Strategically prioritizes prospects and designs process for contact to drive written premium.
Maintains a robust pipeline of high potential accounts and works with others on the Marketing team to realize premium growth. 20%
Using their commercial insurance network of contacts to meet with decision makers to drive new net written premium into Flood Solutions’ private flood program.
Prepares reports and analysis of accounts segments and develops a working business plan for sustained growth. 20%
Recognizes, follows and analyzes trends in the market to determine how they will influence the business segment and act accordingly.
Provides analysis assistance to sales team to assist in the execution of strategic plan to meet written premium and financial objectives.
Produces sales reports of production, prospects and market trends to private flood team. Coordinates function with service areas to ensure data flow enhances the sales team effectiveness.
Collaborates with other Marketing team members to ensure account segments’ needs are fulfilled. 20%
Research and implement new distribution networks and products. Assist in the development of marketing material and updating of existing material and ensure they meet corporate compliance standards and market needs.
Educate agency partners on Assurant private products to gain market share and
Collaborates with private flood internal teams to enhance the customer experience.
Provides the overall direction necessary to ensure the delivery of written premium objectives, as well as work with operations team to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness for account partners.
Basic Qualifications Required:
Bachelor’s Degree
5 years of relevant work experience that includes: proven sales history, account planning and marketing processes
3 years of experience with Excess & Surplus lines markets
3 years of experience with Strategic planning
Demonstrated financial acumen
Proven ability to think innovatively, develop processes, and execute
Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills to effectively communicate initiative objectives, implementation plan and status
Strong project management & organizational skills to effectively manage and complete multiple complex tasks in a timely fashion
