ResponsibilitiesThe SlicerDicer Lead Application / Business Analyst is the primary data quality expert / filter configuration expert and point of contact for Epic's Self-Service Reporting tool that empowers clinicians, managers, and other roles to explore enterprise data stored in Epic's Caboodle (Enterprise Data Warehouse). This lead role will be part of the SlicerDicer core team that will work collaboratively with all Epic application teams to roll out available Epic data models (clinical, access, financial data models) at UC Davis Health. The role will triage/coordinate/configure/resolve all data and systems issues that arise during the use of the SlicerDicer by executives, managers, clinical staff, researchers, data analysts, and other end-user roles. This position will require the analyst to gain understanding about the procedures, workflows, and business operations within the end users organizations. Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Mathematics, Healthcare Informatics or equivalent experience.
- Epic Cogito Project Manager, Epic Cogito, Epic Cogito Tools Administration, Epic Reporting Workbench, or Epic Healthy Planet certification.
- Experience with advanced application of adult learning principles and clinical system design standards.
- Experience with organizational strategies, business operations, and end-user requirements to develop system design and training projects.
- Experience with project management, information systems trends, and professional practice standards.
Preferred Qualifications - Masters degree in preferred discipline is a plus (i.e. MHA, MPH).
- Experience with population health management programs and/or accountable care organizations (ACO) is preferred.
- Experience with Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) build and configuration.
- Experience working with multiple clinical information systems or system implementation teams for complex projects and/or application development.
