The Senior Clinical Informaticist (Sr. CI ) serves as an expert role model promoting the understanding, integration, andapplication of information technology in healthcare settings. The Sr. CI is a leader who applies advanced education andexperience to effectively address complex challenges in diverse healthcare delivery environments. The Sr. CI acts as aliaison between clinical care and information technology, leading associates throughout the care continuum in the full lifecycle of clinical technology projects.
What You Bring/Job Requirements
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
Bachelor's Degree, required
Master's Degree or Enrollment in MS program within 2 years of hire, preferred
Active RN Colorado state license
RNBC Informatics Certification through ANCC, obtained within 1 year of hire. Informatics Board Certification or ability to obtained informatics certification based on eligibility as defined by ANCC guidelines
4 years clinical experience
2 years experience as informaticist or leading related projects and/or teams
Knowledge of hospital, ambulatory, and post-acute care operations, interdepartmental processes, interactions, and workflows in the healthcare setting
Knowledge and experience necessary to pass national informatics certification exams (such as the CPHIMS examination, ANCC Nursing Informatics Board Certification or similar Informatics certification), as well as necessary knowledge to pass EHR vendor proficiencies
Experience with process improvement and/or inofrmation systems within a clinical setting preferred
Physical Requirements:Sedentary work -(prolonged periods of sitting and exert up to10lbs force occasionally)
