The Cloud Engineer position works with functional SMEs (Subject Matter Experts), customers, relationship managers, and project management teams to provide solutions that leverage cloud services such as SaaS (Software as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service), and IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service). The Cloud Engineer will be proficient in aspects of Cloud Computing and Engineering and readily adapts to support a variety of technical requirements in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
Partner with other administrators and engineers to execute on the implementation of technical designs and ensure the designs meet quality standards.
Provision secure, repeatable cloud solutions for efficient business adoption of cloud services.
Help transform traditional services to viable modern architectures.
Work on medium to large-scale cloud service development projects and support application server middleware.
Migrate existing services from physical data centers to cloud as business needs accommodate.
Build and maintain cloud-based operations tools to monitor, notify, track, and analyze usage and adapt to business needs.
Define, create, test, and execute operational procedures.
Troubleshoot production issues and re-engineer production workloads.
Profile of an Ideal Candidate
Bachelor's Degree in a STEM subject (science, technology, engineering, or math) or equivalent work experience is necessary.
5+ years' experience in systems administration/engineering/DevOps is preferred.
2+ years direct enterprise experience in public and private cloud services (preferably AWS) is preferred.
AWS Certified Practitioner (or higher) certification preferred, or ability to pursue within 18-24 months of hire is preferred.
Experience with AWS services like IAM, EC2, S3, VPC, GuardDuty, CloudTrail, ECS, and EKS, as well as Azure Identity, Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, App Services, etc. is preferred.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with the capacity to work with multiple teams on completing a variety of tasks is necessary.
Good communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical topics to a non- technical audience (including senior leadership) are necessary.
