JOBSUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The IT Administrator III installs,transitions, and maintains the Voice over IP (VoIP) system for the campusnetwork. Supports the transition between the analog and digital telephony worlds.Assists the telephone services staff with network switch configuration forcampus-wide VoIP transition.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists Tech Support staff with the configuration and end-user support of various VoIP-related end-user issues.
Collaborates with the Tech Support staff to troubleshoot network-related end-user issues.
Works with telephone staff to install, transition, maintain, and administer the UTHSC Campus VoIP system, associated network switch configurations, and its supporting collaborative telephony services.
Provides training and technical support to Telephony and Network staffs, hardware maintenance and upgrades, and management and configuration of the campus-wide VoIP system.
Installs, configures, and maintains Cisco switches, routers, and wireless access points.
Provides Network Services tasks in providing VoIP Services to the UTHSC campus, as needed.
Travels to other UTHSC campuses in the state to provide technical experience, as needed.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
