Director of Development for Strategic Initiatives, Individual Giving, Schools and Centers

PAE is recruiting a Director of Development who will be responsible for creating an infrastructure and providing fund raising leadership for interdisciplinary and university-wide fund raising priorities.
This will be achieved through -
* Serving as chief development officer for select strategic fund raising priorities that span individual schools and centers across campus;
* Building and managing project-specific pipelines of major and leadership gift prospects, working in collaboration with both school-based and centrally-based front-line fund raisers.
* Creating and managing a system that supports a donor-centric fundraising model that facilitates engagement of prospects with multiple interests
* Staffing and engaging academic leadership in the process of cultivating, soliciting, and closing gifts in support of strategic priorities
* Managing a portfolio of major and leadership gift prospects
This position reports to the Vice Chancellor for Individual Giving, Schools and Centers, in the division of Philanthropic & Alumni Engagement.
Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred. 7 + years of experience including successful track record of major gift fund raising, strategic planning, relationship building, project management, event planning, and communication
Experience in higher education required Strong communication skills - both oral and written Preferred Competencies: The extent to which they demonstrate success and effectiveness on the following measures: a. Strategist b. Consensus-builder c. Communicator d. Thought partner e. Collaborator Candidates with experience/knowledge of working with underserved/diverse communities is a plus
