SENIOR APPLICATION ENGINEER , MIT Open Learning-Engineering Department , to join a fast growing team with big ambitions to redefine the use of technology in teaching and learning at MIT and beyond. Will work closely with Engineering Department leadership to provide high-quality technical expertise and support to strategic internal partners, including xPro, MicroMasters, and OCW. Will maintain expert-level knowledge of Open Leaning' flagship products and applications and articulate technology and product positioning to business and technical users; understand and communicate the project's requirements to software engineers, updating key stakeholders and users on product development progress; oversee and contribute to operational workflows involving marketing, B2B sales, customer service, and financial systems; collaborate on developing and maintaining product roadmaps that benefit the goals of internal partners and end users; meet with customers and demo and provide technical insights regarding the products; communicate design and feature requests to the product team and manage progress tracking through development into deployment; run agile meetings along with the associate director of engineering; provide tier-two technical support, developing and deploying quality control standards for products; contribute to design and code reviews; and write code in Python and/or other languages as necessary.
