We are recruiting a Portal & Application Administrator position to join the Applications Development teams!
The Portal & Application Administrator is responsible for the configuration, troubleshooting and administration of the following applications: CCCS Portals, CAS/Ethos, LDAP, BEIS, BanPortal, Mobile App, and other applications as needed. This position will adheres to established policies and procedures, leads setting standards, policies, and procedures, and coaches other team members on related techniques and standards.
The Portal & Application Administrator will be part of a 24x7 on-call production support team; troubleshooting issues and errors related to the aforementioned applications and their servers. This position will monitor the Portal, CAS/Ethos/BEIS, Mobile application servers for performance, capacity management and planning for growth. The Portal and Application Server Administrator will support the community colleges’ portal content managers by updating portal channels, train content managers and troubleshoot content display issues.
Provide a key role in the implementation of the Portal and applications.
Support the development of the college’s portal in collaboration with campus stakeholders and other Banner project team members.
Assist with creation of portal channels that enhance the value of the portal for all the various roles at CCCS.
Create portal and other application design documents.
Implement the integration of existing campus applications into the portal.
Provide single sign-on to external applications.
Perform portal and application server administration tasks including upgrades and deploying Java applications.
Serve as the administrator of the portal accounts, roles and security.
Conducts portal and application server performance monitoring and
Serves as the primary contact/resource for resolution of portal and issues.
Works directly with the Developers, DBAs and Project Management Team in a collaborative, cooperative and customer-centric environment.
Lead or co-lead portal related projects and supervise and manage, performance of team members.
Provide guidance and coach other team members in emerging technologies. Provide ongoing support and training to other team members in existing technology.
Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field from an accredited college or university. Relevant education/experience in the appropriate technical and management areas may be considered as a substitute for formal education.
Experience with administration, trouble-shooting and scripting for portal and Java application servers.
Experience with Portal technologies.
Experience supporting 24 x 7 environments.
Work Location/Travel Expectations:
This position is located at CCCS/IT 1059 Alton Way, Denver, CO 80230.
Occasional in-state travel, along with an annual out-of-state conference attendance, is required.
