Based in Los Angeles, the Corporate Archives Specialist is a key role focused on archival research and collection processing in an innovative corporate archives setting. The person in this role will possess a strong background in providing research services and processing complex collections in different formats, including digital and paper-based items. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for history with an eye toward the future, and extensive experience in arranging, describing, preserving and providing access to collections for a variety of users. The candidate will apply knowledge in archival authorities to create robust metadata records for new acquisitions and legacy materials in the unique collections of the Capital Group Corporate Archives.

The Corporate Archives Specialist will serve as a collaborative member of a dynamic team that is transforming the department processing and request workflows via a new archival management and digital preservation system.

Responsibilities:

Processes collections, including documents, audiovisual materials and born digital content
Provides reference and detailed research for internal requests, oral histories and special projects
Tracks and records statistics for acquisitions and research queries
Creates and maintains metadata records for digital and physical assets
Manages vault and inventory control adhering to archival best practices
Engages in outreach activities, from acquisition development to site tours and external exhibits
