Under the direction of the Director of Creative and Technology Support Services, this position will oversee a team that is responsible for the support and maintenance of LMU classrooms and event spaces. This team is responsible for the replacement of all A/V as well as working with faculty and other stakeholders to make sure the correct technology solutions are being implemented. This position is responsible for guiding day-to-day operations of the team as well as strategic planning. This position works directly with faculty, ITS, and other groups within the Administrative Division to help ensure that learning space technology support meet the needs of the LMU community.
Typically a Bachelor’s Degree in technology, education, media, or other related field. Incumbent will be expected to continue upgrading knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to keep abreast of regulation/policy changes.
Minimum four years experience in audio/visual field of which at least 2 years should be in a management/supervisory capacity, preferably within a university setting. In addition, minimum two years project management experience.
Proven track-record of providing outstanding customer service and technology support in a university setting.
Ability to understand the technology needs of different Colleges and disciplines and guide staff and resources to meeting those needs.
Exemplary communication skills both written and oral. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, associates, faculty, and the general public.
Ability to understand and present complex technical issues. Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills. Ability to provide technical assistance and solve computing problems.
Ability to take initiative and work autonomously. Demonstrated ability to plan and implement new programs and services.
Demonstrated experience managing people in a team environment.
Excellent leadership, management, organizational and interpersonal skills.
