We are seeking someone with experience building and integrating high quality Cloud-based applications using well-designed architectures. You have at least 2 years of practical experience in cloud technologies, and have the curiosity and tenacity to learn and apply new skills. You will assist with application integration and troubleshooting in this complex application environment, including management of dependencies on services, platforms, and other applications. The role requires a well-organized, action oriented team player with the ability to prioritize daily work, change directions quickly, and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Degree in computer science, computer information systems or mathematics and/or equivalent work experience is required.
Ability to work with business partners and other IT Service Providers to automate the release of customer code and enhancements
Integrate release automations with other customer-facing tools such as ServiceNow to create approval pipelines and traceability
Work with service teams to investigate new application versions and vendor software features
Design, implement, and maintain deployment pipelines to streamline the implementation of application developer code
Working technical knowledge of operating systems, such as Windows and Linux
Experience designing, building, installing, configuring and supporting web and application server software such as Apache and Weblogic
Experience with database management systems such as Oracle, MongoDB, Postgres SQL, in both production and non-production environments
Experience with system monitoring and log aggregation tools, such as LogicMonitor and Splunk
Ability to collaborate across a number of teams.
Ability to deliver clear and effective communications, both written and verbal, to managers, peers, and customers
Excellent technical and analytical problem-solving skills
Ability to manage time effectively and manage multiple assignments and priorities
Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new tools based on conceptual understanding of technology and translate the tools' capabilities to a business audience.
Experience with implementing architecture and application design patterns
Experience creating RESTful web services is highly desired.
Familiarity with microservice and serverless architectures is highly desired
Familiarity with container services such as Docker and Kubernetes is highly desired
Exposure to identity management services, such as Grouper desired
Experience with Agile processes and principles is highly desired
This position requires providing on-call support for production systems supported by the HUIT DMS team.
