Center for Student Development, College of Architecture and Design
This position provides comprehensive administrative support for Student Development Center in the College of Architecture + Design across four broad areas of focus: Customer Service, Academic Student Records and Data Management, Recruiting, Event Planning.
Independently provides customer service to all undergraduate students and faculty in the College by answering phone calls, emails and walk-ins, on a day to day basis. Questions regarding advising and other sensitive issues are directed to the Academic Advisor and Director of Student Development.
Answers phones and fields questions independently from prospective students, parents and high school counselors. Responsible for maintaining prospective students information for the undergraduate programs and coordinating and scheduling academic campus visitations to the college.
Responsible for up-to-date and accurate maintenance of undergraduate academic records for all students, including digital and paper files housed in the Center for Student Development, and student transcripts
Required to be proficient in the following computer programs: Banner, GradesFirst, Degree Audit Reporting System (DARS), ARGOS, Excel and Microsoft Office
Functions as the encoder for curricular substitutions in DARS for the College Grants permission for courses in Banner as advised by the Academic Advisor Processes grade changes, major changes and minor declarations in Banner as advised
Assign students to Advisors in Banner
Administrator for GradesFirst advising campaigns in coordination with Director and Advisor
Responsible for receiving, maintaining and providing support to the Director for statistical data for NAAB, CIDA (reports required for accreditation purposes); enrollment, enrollment management, attrition, diversity reports and other statistical reports required by college administration
Responsible for all undergraduate programs mailings
Coordinates student activities and events such as: TAAST, Peer Mentor, Open House, Design Camp, Career Day, Student Orientation sessions in summer, and any other events as required.
Supervise Center for Student Development student worker
Any other duties as required for the smooth functioning of the Center for Student Development as requested by the Director of Student Development
