The Office of Admissions is seeking a Transfer Services Manager. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE), 12-month, fixed-term professional faculty position to be located in Portland, Oregon. This position reports directly to the Senior Associate Director of Transfer Admissions. Reappointment is at the discretion of the Director.
The Transfer Services Manager is a part of the OSU Transfer Admissions team and will support the primary mission of Oregon State University. This manager identifies and creates opportunities for increased partnership opportunities between the University and assigned target community colleges.
This manager is a broad source of information regarding OSU admissions, the transfer process, and student support services for community college students who intend to eventually enroll at OSU. Working in collaboration with campus partners, the Transfer Service Manager's support includes assistance with the application process, transitional programming, academic program planning, course selection and transfer credit evaluation, registration, advising, and career planning, among other services. Further, support is provided on-site at the assigned community colleges, at the PDX Center (downtown Portland) and in Corvallis (as needed).
This position includes activities primarily on-site at community colleges. Regular weekly travel is expected between assigned sites. Travel to other sites for community events and presentations within the assigned territory is expected on a more infrequent basis. Some travel to Corvallis is expected (as needed). Some evening and weekend work is required.

Typically requires Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited not-for-profit college or university in discipline of choice. 1 year experience related to assigned responsibilities.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution directly related to the duties of this position.
Either two years full time professional experience as a professional academic advisor in a higher education setting; OR three years full time professional experience working in a higher education student services advising role, such as Recruiting and Admissions, International Programs, Financial Aid, Career Services, Academic Programs, etc.
Demonstrated professional oral and written communication skills.
Strong organizational/project management, public speaking, and event planning skills with keen attention to detail.
Demonstrated collaborative skills in multi-office projects.
Enthusiastic and strong motivation to promote student success.
Ability to think clearly under pressure and demonstrated professionalism in working with a diverse clientele.
Ability to interpret, apply, and explain complex information and handle difficult inter-personal situations with tact and diplomacy.
Experience working with confidential information.

Ability to utilize a computer and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

This position is designated as a critical, security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a Criminal History Check and be determined to be position qualified as per OSU Standard 576-055-0000 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in Youth Programs may have additional Criminal History Checks every 24 months.
This position requires driving a University vehicle or a personal vehicle on behalf of the University; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a Motor Vehicle History Check, possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license in their state of residence, be determined to be position qualified and self-report convictions as per OSU Standard 576-056-0000 et seq.
Generally, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
