Marketing/Promotion: promote and advocate for the garden; create and distribute marketing materials (i.e. flyers and posters); use event software to promote activities; maintain online events calendar; maintain social media accounts for Countway Community Garden in collaboration with the garden committee.
Events Logistics: secure space, process registrations (when applicable), order catering; work with garden leadership and volunteers to keep space clean and vibrant; assist in coordinating wellness opportunities for students, staff and faculty of Longwood Campus; support in organizing a yearly events such as a Spring Gathering and Fall Harvest/Wellness Fair among others.
Administration: work with garden leadership to set garden mission and outreach priorities; coordinate garden volunteers and bed assignment; update and maintain events on community calendars; work with Outreach Officer to coordinate wellness offerings; replace garden beds when necessary; grow established relationship with EcoOpportunity and Countway Library; integrate garden into HMS Room Reservation software; communicate and facilitate access of garden to renters. Assist Outreach Officer in gathering statistics for yearly reporting; order supplies for outreach activities; schedule appropriate meetings related to outreach work.

Five or more years of work experience preferably in graphic design, marketing, public relations/advertising, social media management, administrative and/or customer service field. Higher education may count toward years of experience.
Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, business, English, journalism or related field preferred. Proficiency in graphic design software (Adobe Illustrator) and desktop-publishing/email management tools (e.g. InDesign, MS Publisher, Mail Chimp, Constant Contact, etc.) Outstanding verbal and written communication; strong organizational, time-management and creative skills; high attention to detail and the ability to prioritize/manage multiple projects simultaneously.
