Practice Manager - Immediate Care

OHSU Primary Care (Family Medicine, General Medicine, General Pediatrics, and Women's Health) is developing a new Immediate Care Service Line that will partner with (5) of our current PCPCH primary care sites. A matrix management model, each Immediate Care site will share space and some staff with the Primary Care counterpart. The Service Line is designed to offer same day access to new and existing patients. Current number of patient served in these sites is about 80,000+ lives; sites include a rural health center, a federally qualified health center, and several community based sites across the Portland metropolitan area.

Operations Management: maintain open and positive working relationship with each site team; develop and maintain common scheduling templates across sites; develop and implement standard workflows; develop medical and support staff staffing plans in conjunction with medical director and implement; ensure proper accounting for faculty and staff costs; develop scorecards and report monthly; conducts regular Service Line team meetings and engages providers and staff in program development and improvement. Responsible to keep current on developing trends in same day/immediate care services in the market.

Equipment and Regulations: Responsible to anticipate the equipment needs of the local teams and to work to ensure that they have the tools needed to provide safe, high quality care.

Project Management/Process Improvement: develop and execute phased roll out plan for all provider sites, engaging with all related support services (lab, x-ray, Registration, Marketing, transportation, etc.); utilizing data, identifies process and outcome related problems; utilizes a PI approach to test and implement solutions. Works with departmental leadership on change management approaches.

Human Resources/Education: Responsible for developing Immediate Care Service Line orientation for both providers and staff; addresses and coordinates all training needs in collaboration with site supervisor/managers. Works with local leadership teams on evaluating performance, developing professional growth plans.

• Bachelor's Degree in Health Care Administration, Business, or related field.
• Minimum of (3) years experience in managing ambulatory practices, both clinical and business operations.
• Experience in Primary Care and/or high volume practices.
• Experience in matrix management is a plus.
• Experience in budgeting, payroll, purchasing, and qualitative/quantitative analysis.
• Experience in project management, lean six sigma, or process improvement
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation

• Master's degree in Health Care Administration, Business, or related field preferred.
