International Education Programs (IEP) at the University of California, Riverside (UCR) Extension, has one of the largest and most successful international education programs in the USA. Each year, IEP welcomes over 4,000 students from over 40 countries. UCR Extension has been offering high quality programs since 1975, including a multiple-level ESL program, academic pathways programs, concurrent enrollment, post-graduate diplomas/certificates, and custom designed programs for short-term groups of visiting students and professionals.
As part of the Global Engagement Office (GEO) team at the University of California Riverside (UCR) Extension's International Education Programs (IEP), the Regional Director for Eurasia & Northern Europe is responsible for meeting assigned country and region enrollment targets, implements conversion activity, develops existing partners, and investigates potential new partners. Additionally, the Regional Director presents current and future recruitment activity to all levels of staff, manages the agent network for select countries and facilitates relationships with key stakeholders. The position is an integral part of executing IEPs strategic vision for student recruitment, particularly in Eurasia and Northern Europe, and requires significant recruitment travel; project management, research/reporting and strategy updates. This position reports to the Associate Dean & Director of International Education Programs.
UCR Extension is building capacity and positioning for growth in new and existing international markets. The Regional Director will serve as a key position as it contributes to, develops, and manages strategies for student and program recruitment. As UCR Extension is comprised of self-supporting programs dependent upon enrollment, this position has a significant impact on revenue generation and has responsibility for both identifying and managing new and existing recruitment opportunities.
Bachelors degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training
Bachelors degree in Marketing and/or equivalent experience/training
Advanced degree (preferred)
4-7 years of related experience
Experience with international travel and ability to make complex international travel arrangements and to travel extensively
Experience utilizing student information and CRM systems
Experience successfully engaging university constituents and meeting recruitment targets
Proven record of successful experience in international recruitment in Eurasia and Western Europe, or Southeast Asia, or Africa
Proven successful experience developing and implementing short- and long-range international recruitment strategic plans via utilization of educational partnerships, agent networks, private sector, and governmental schemes (preferred)
Experience promoting and recruiting towards international education programs, and in particular, English, academic and/or professional programs (preferred)
Experience creating and developing international marketing materials through digital marketing (preferred)
Experience supervising student employees and interns (preferred)
