Hagerstown Community College (HCC) was founded in 1946 as Maryland’s first community college. The College serves more than 6,000 credit students and 7,000 non-credit students each year and awards associate degrees, certificates and letters of recognition. HCC is located in scenic western Maryland on a 319-acre campus. The College has experienced strong growth over the last decade and has continued to invest in upgrading facilities, from the construction of a brand new Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Building to a Performing and Visual Arts Education Center. Faculty members utilize state-of-the-art teaching tools and the Fletcher Faculty Development Center provides resources needed to support the college’s faculty members in improving and providing teaching excellence. Students have the opportunity to learn in sophisticated classrooms and laboratories. HCC also provides additional support to students with supplemental instruction resources within the Learning Support Center.
