The Coordinator, US Central Region provides administrative and program support to the Director and Manager of the US Central region, and serves as the staff liaison for the chapter staff within the US Central region.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supports the Director and Manager of the US Central region:
Assists in planning and participating on various regional calls;
Tracks and reports chapter succession planning; ensuring chapter boards are entered and up-to-date in chapter profiles;
Compiles and shares best practices among chapters and regions;
Collaborates with regional teams and functional staff to address member and chapter staff questions as needed;
Sends out regular leadership updates with key information to the region.
Supports regional chapter staff:
Supports members and chapter staff with their questions on a daily basis, such as navigating the website, password issues, etc.;
Follows and edits onboarding process for new chapter staff training;
Plans and executes the Chapter Staff Summit and all other training opportunities;
Assists in creating agenda and facilitating the North American Chapter Staff call;
Manages the US Central Region Chapter Staff Samepage collaboration group;
Keeps chapter staff up to date on global/regional incentive opportunities.
Supports regional chapter staff in PEAK program:
Serves as a resource for PEAK program tracking, updating, and reporting;
Updates and distributes individual chapter checklists;
Facilitates correspondence between chapter staff and PEAK program staff.
Assists staff and members in cross-checking registration and room booking for events including the Global Leadership Conference (GLC), Presidents’ Meeting, XCentric regional event, Regional Leadership Academy and others.
Takes notes and other supportive tasks while on-site at events as needed.
Assists with post-meeting follow up, including aggregating survey results and distribution of notes.
Supports with renewal campaign in region.
Communicates direction and requirements of global organization to regional chapters.
Ensures chapters understand the goals and plans of the organization and how they relate to the long term growth and prosperity of EO.
Ensures proper representation of the EO Brand by regional chapters.
Monitors any email, print, and web communication distributed by chapters to ensure it embodies the values of EO.
Promotes initiatives created by EO Global; clearly communicating information including requirements for new programs, policies, procedures.
Updates and utilizes Samepage for chapter and member resources.
Supports strategies to promote membership growth and retention.
Takes detailed notes and offers regional insight to Chapter Officers in person at Summits.
Visits local chapters or events upon discretion of Director.
Performs other duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
Bachelor's degree in any field.
1-3 years professional experience in nonprofits, associations, international organizations, or NGOs.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, the ability to think on your feet, and being solution-oriented.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with the all levels of stakeholders.
Ability to interact with entrepreneurs with tact, diplomacy, and poise.
Project management skills, preferred.
Experience working with entrepreneurs, preferred.
Works harmoniously and effectively with others as part of a team.
A self-starter who desires to show ownership and commitment to the job.
Exercises confidentiality and discretion.
The employee is normally required to work in a high-rise building equipped with elevators in an environment where the noise level is usually moderate. May be assigned to an internal work space without windows to the outside, located in close proximity to other office personnel.
