North Carolina A&T State University and the Department of Civil, Architectural & Environmental Engineering, invites applications for a full-time, 9-month non-tenure track position in support of Civil and Architectural Engineering in the area of Construction Engineering and Project Management to begin in Spring 2020. Applicants must at a minimum hold a MS degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a closely related field. The desired candidate would have experience practicing as an engineer and/or teaching in construction and project management, civil engineering, and land development. As an Assistant Professor of Practice, this faculty member would incorporate their work experiences to lead the teaching of civil and architectural engineering students in construction materials and methods, project management, construction projects, and construction engineering. Experience in and the ability to teach the use of advanced software and tools for design, construction, land development, and project management.
Successful candidates will be expected to share in our mission to address the challenges of creating a sustainable global society by educating the next generation of HBCU civil and architectural engineers and leaders.
The primary responsibilities for this position include teaching undergraduate courses, student advising and mentoring, engaging in accreditation procedures, and department/college service. Applicant review will begin December 1, 2019.
