Position Summary The Coordinator, Front line & Program Management will be responsible for the front line responsibilities, planning, coordination and success of all testing services external requests and academic and placement testing executed by the College Testing Services department. The Coordinator partners with department leadership to create an engaging environment designed to enhance the student experience. This role will lead staff training, address on-site issues, and communicate to a diverse audience in a variety of settings. Core Competencies Required Professionalism, Managing Work, Continuous Improvement, Customer/Student/Employee Focus, Collaboration, Adaptability, Execution, Positive Approach, Coaching, Building Partnerships and Work Standards ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Coordination Oversees and supports day-to-day and project-specific work assignments including but not limited to: monitoring staff and center operations; planning and coordinating individualized and group testing sessions at multiple campus locations and possibly remote testing locations; gathering and processing testing; assisting with staffing needs to address center accessibility and support of student experience; setting up required testing sites; and confirming any other pre-or post-testing needs. Troubleshoots student and faculty concerns impacting the operation and administration of tests for students. Maintains cross-departmental partnerships. Assists in support and administration of testing center functions such as placement testing, remote testing and make-up testing. Collaborates internally for appropriate training within the department which require College Testing Services. Recruits College partners to assist with testing, as necessary and trains them appropriately. Administration Develops and implements operational policies that ensure high-quality support for all College Testing Services programs and projects. Monitors all activities in functional area to ensure compliance with college, NCTA best practices for testing center operations and-or grant requirements and stipulations. Clerical Keeps secure and accurate records. Regular data entry into testing center systems and compiling of center reports. Completes and maintains required documentation. Other Duties and Responsibilities Attends all required department meetings and training. Works a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and overtime (extended hours) as required and approved to meet workload demands. *Regular, predictable, and punctual attendance is required. Usual Physical Requirements The employee regularly exhibits digital dexterity when entering data into computer, frequently sits for extended periods of time, and regularly stands and walks to provide functional coordination for a few work units. Employee occasionally reaches with hands or arms and stoops, kneels, crouches or crawls. Employee converses verbally with others in person and by telephone. Vision demands include close, detailed vision when focusing on computer screen. Employee occasionally lifts or exerts force up to 10 pounds. Working Conditions Typical office environment. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of: best practices in office organization including monitoring staffing needs as well as follow-up and follow-through techniques. Skill in: excellent verbal and written communication; planning, scheduling, and organizing work; application of technology and software programs; office organization; customer service; conflict resolution; general typing and data entry; application of job software including word processing and spreadsheets; creating and proofreading standard business correspondence and other written documents; creating and reviewing functional report formats; documenting office procedures. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a closely related field. Three (3) years' experience in college testing, student affairs, or related student services. *An appropriate combination of education, training, coursework and experience may qualify a candidate. State Motor Vehicle Operator's License or demonstrable ability to gain access to work site(s). |
