This position assists the Senior Associate Vice Provost for Student Affairs in managing high-level projects and initiatives, as well as assists in the oversight and support of Student Affairs departments. This position offers exciting opportunities to be involved with collaborative projects and activities across the Division of Student Affairs.
Manage multiple ongoing projects alongside, and sometimes in place of, the Senior Associate Vice Provost, to further high-level initiatives. Coordinate groups and meetings around multi-department programs and initiatives. Tasks include bringing together teams, creating project management plans, providing status updates to management and departments, ensuring follow-up, completion, and accurate reporting.
Proactively identify information that has the potential to be impactful and elevate issues along with resolution options to the Senior Associate Vice Provost in a timeline manner.
Assist in the leadership of assessment efforts, including identifying opportunities, connecting departments to resources, and producing and assembling reports.
Research and draft correspondence and publications on behalf of the Senior Associate Vice Provost.
Ensure that the Senior Associate Vice Provost is well prepared for meetings and other internal and external organization or committee affiliations.
Manage the Senior Associate Vice Provostâs operational budget.
Proven experience with project management
5 years of directly related project coordination or management experience
Advanced degree in higher education or related field
Ability to work well independently, be highly organized, and give intense attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects at the same time with high levels of professionalism.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Previous leadership experience within Higher Education.
