Job Description Summary
The Penn Center for Cancer Care Innovation (PC3I) is seeking a Project Manager to manage research projects and strategic initiatives. PC3I aims to inspire, design, and advance solutions to make cancer care better by improving health and healthcare for patients with cancer, increasing efficiency and reducing costs while improving cancer care outcomes, and catalyzing innovation in cancer care. PC3Iâ™s portfolio includes projects to discover, translate, test, and scale new strategies for cancer care delivery with Penn Medicine and external partners.
CONTINGENT UPON FUNDING
The Project Manager will manage multiple lower complexity projects or elements of higher complexity projects simultaneously. With oversight from PC3I leadership and project principal investigators, the Project Manager will work with interdisciplinary, cross-functional teams to plan and implement projects. The Project Manager will develop and manage project documentation, including project plans, study protocols, standard operating procedures, and IRB and other regulatory documents; conduct, support, or manage project activities, including study recruitment, data collection, and analysis; provide day-to-day project management and facilitate coordination across project team members and stakeholders; organize meetings and document next steps; anticipate and mitigate risks; track progress and ensure projects are implemented per protocol, on time, and within budget; contribute to the drafting of reports, memos, abstracts, peer-reviewed publications, and presentations to disseminate project findings. The Project Manager will support other PC3I development, communications, and engagement activities as assigned, including managing the PC3I website.
Bachelorâ™s degree and 3-5 years of health services research experience in a clinical or academic setting or equivalent combination of education and related experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong organizational skills and attention to detail; demonstrated ability to identify and utilize available resources and manage multiple priorities concurrently; strong interpersonal skills, judgment, and diplomacy to work effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders; proficiency with standard office software (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Preferred qualifications: masterâ™s degree; knowledge of software for reference management (e.g., EndNote, Zotero), electronic data capture (e.g., REDCap), data analysis (e.g., Stata, SAS, R), content management and collaboration (e.g., Box, Smartsheet), websites (e.g. WordPress), and design (e.g., Adobe InDesign, Photoshop).
