Holland Bloorview is an academic hospital, fully affiliated with the University of Toronto. All clinical staff are expected to contribute to the academic agenda through one or more of the following activities: supervising students, teaching, academic service, scholarship and research. All non-clinical staff are encouraged, when appropriate.
The Senior Total Rewards and Systems Business Partner provides strategic, functional and technical leadership in the areas of compensation, benefit and pension administration, and total rewards education. This position also manages the HR information systems including data integrity, reporting, HR Analytics, information process flow, and development of technology supported solutions and processes. This position also participates in quality improvement initiatives, supports the maintenance of a safe and healthy work environment and advances a culture of client/patient safety through work and daily practices.
Provides support to the Senior Management Team and the People and Culture team on all matters related to compensation including: policy, communications, salary recommendations, market analysis, reporting, and related projects
Oversees Holland Bloorview's base compensation program and annual salary adjustment processes (e.g. Market review, developing and modeling recommendations, securing necessary approvals, development and distribution of salary administration worksheets, and development and distribution of communications).
Oversees the job evaluation process including evaluations, documentation, developing salary recommendations, manager and employee communication, and ensuring consistency in application.
Monitors and evaluates the compensation programs to ensure that it supports Holland Bloorview's strategic objectives and the People Strategy. This includes collaborating with key stakeholders, measuring program effectiveness, conducting external scans, conducting gap analyses, developing recommendations, and determining feasibility and financial impact.
Holland Bloorview Advantage
Oversees the management (e.g. administration, issue resolution, vendor and consultant management, and contract renewals) of programs included in the Holland's Bloorview Advantage. This position is also responsible for developing service delivery goals and targets and developing plans to address gaps.
Oversees Holland Bloorview advantage education, awareness and branding initiatives and tactics (e.g. Viewfinder, education program, annual events). This includes developing and setting goals and priorities, monitoring and conducting gap analysis, and developing strategies and tactics to address gaps.
Monitors and evaluates the Holland Bloorview Advantage programs to ensure that it supports Holland Bloorview's strategic objectives and the People Strategy. This includes collaborating with key stakeholders, measuring program effectiveness, conducting external scans, conducting gap analyses, developing recommendations, and determining feasibility and financial impact.
HR Systems and Analytics
Determines a system strategy for Holland Bloorview and make recommendations to support team productivity and efficiency. Lead the process in determining needs, criteria, and implementation.
Manages the HR information systems including security, troubleshooting, user support and training, identifying and implementing system and process enhancements, documenting data/process requirements and specifications, reporting (standard and ad-hoc), and ensuring the integrity and quality control of HRIS and pavroll data.
Manages Holland Bloorview's HR Analytics process and framework including annual review of metrics and targets, reviewing reporting tools for consistency and accuracy, supporting the People and Culture team and managers with analysis and action planning, developing presentations for Senior Management and the Board.
Oversees the total rewards benchmarking processes including environmental scans, survey completion, analysis of benchmark information, identification of best practices and external standards, and developing summaries.
An undergraduate degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Finance or equivalent
CHRP, CCP designations preferred
Minimum 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in Total Rewards and HR Systems
Experience developing statistical and analytical reports
Full exposure to all Human Resource functions
Strong working knowledge of compensation and benefits, and working knowledge of all other facets Human Resources
Advanced knowledge of HR technologies and database and spreadsheet applications (e.g. Access
Strong knowledge of basic statistics (e.g. descriptive, correlations, significance testing) and ability to apply statistical methodologies
Strong leadership skills

Business acumen with excellent problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including facilitation and presentation skills
Well-developed time management skills
Working knowledge of project management disciplines, including experience scoping and sizing work efforts
