Position Overview: The specialist, communications and research, will produce high-quality communication deliverables that contribute to the overall success of our strategic priorities. Reporting to the senior director, industry narrative, this role will also support the communications team in day-to-day operations including projects across the function — from email strategy to content creation — that help drive our agenda forward.
Key areas of responsibility:
Partner with internal customers to create and organize collateral materials.
Support the production, from concept to completion, of a broad array of digital and print collateral and communication materials for the organization.
Develop event marketing timeline and efforts, including the deployment of all member emails and creation of marketing materials.
Content Development and Distribution
Support development, writing and distribution of content and other updates on behalf of the organization.
Proofread materials and perform quality assurance checks for all email launches, external-facing products and collateral materials.
Troubleshoot technical issues related to HTML templates, list segmentation and other aspects of email execution.
Handle logistics for video shoots and events to ensure internal departments, member companies and vendors are coordinated.
Streamline processes to improve division efficiency, including the organization and maintenance of file-sharing platforms.
Administer day-to-day division tasks, including coordinating internal meetings, processing invoices, routing contracts and managing subscriptions.
Experience & Education:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism or related field required.
1-3 years of related employment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficiency with software including HTML, CSS, WordPress and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Lightroom, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, Premiere) desirable.
Strong written communication and proofreading skills.
Careful attention to detail and accuracy.
Passion for learning multiple facets of the communications field.
Advanced proficiency in Office 365 Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility in learning new software and/or computer/technical applications.
A self-starter with the ability to work independently.
Ability to work on cross-functional teams.
