Responsible for designing and overseeing the institutions recruitment program. Will work closely with hiring managers to manage sourcing, interviewing and hiring process. Will create institutions recruitment strategy, create, track and report on recruitment metrics (time to fill, cost of hire, etc.), design campus wide recruitment training and oversee recruitment team.
Functions may include, but not be limited to, the following:
Responsible for the creation and implementation of the overall recruiting strategy for the organization to include sourcing plans, employer branding and social media strategy
Designs and implements recruiting tools such as interview worksheets, manager trainings, search committee guidelines and hiring checklists
Acts as system administrator for the ATS. Train recruitment team upon hire and function as the subject matter expert.
Documents all recruiting procedures and periodically reviews and updates as needed
Supervises, directs, assigns and evaluates the daily work of assigned staff in Georgia and Pennsylvania.
Trains employees in work procedures, interviews and recommends selection of job applicants, appraises employee performance, conducts informal counseling on work issues, prepares documentation and improvement plans for deficiencies and recommends performance recognition or disciplinary action as needed
Researches and implements new sourcing methods (e.g. social media, new partnerships, job fairs, etc.)
Serves as the point of contact and coordinator of search committees for management positions
Structures the committee, trains the committee on search procedures and labor laws that impact interviewing and hiring, reviews applications as part of the search committee, coordinates feedback and makes final recommendation(s)
Ability to work with a variety of people, possessing tact, discretion and diplomacy.
Analytic skills and ability to made decisions or recommendations as appropriate
Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e. Microsoft Office suite)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
Perform related duties as assigned.
BSc/BA in business administration, human resources or relevant field
Five (5) years of experience in recruitment, with at least two years in a lead or management role.
Experience in designing and implementing an overall recruitment strategy for an organization
Experience in higher education setting preferred
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:
Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Incumbent may be required to travel from building to building frequently and off campus occasionally.
