The primary focus of the Consultant Networks & Security Services is to assess, design, implement, audit and manage customer's network and security infrastructure. Deliver the complete portfolio of network and security services, structured to augment customer's staff or manage turnkey network/security solutions with our partners, providing cost effective methods to help attain the highest return on customer's investment. As the person responsible for the success of consultant Network & Security Services, the consultant oversees all aspects of the consulting and/or projects.
As a Consultant Networks & Security Services, this individual will be responsible for managing all aspects of the planning, implementation and closure of projects regarding the technical issues. Key aspects of responsibility include (but are not limited to) project scope / schedule management / risk management, and effective communication with the Rockwell / Customer project manager.
Achieve assigned targets in terms of business revenue and management objectives;
Knowledge of manufacturing applications - their dependency on the infrastructure and possible impact on the overall manufacturing process;
Awareness of manufacturing security consequences;
Understanding the differences between bandwidth and latency;
Knowledge of how each layer of the OSI model affects the performance of your system
Experience with all types of manufacturing networks - Ethernet/IP, ControlNet, DeviceNet, DH+, Remote IO, Fieldbus, and other automation industry networks;
Involvement in, and awareness of, national and global standards committees (e.g., Department of Homeland Security, Idaho National Labs, ISA 99 NIST 800-82);
Awareness of traditional IT policies and the impact they can have on the plant floor;
Capabilities to provide wired and wireless network solutions;
Capabilities to provide virtualized solutions;
Capabilities to provide Infrastructure Security solutions
The Network and Security Consultant take part in the development, sales and delivery of Network and Security solutions for Rockwell Automation customers. The primary focus includes sales support, consulting, assessing current state, developing remediation plans, implementing solutions, and providing long term maintenance of a customer's manufacturing infrastructure.
Consulting performed within the national territory to accelerate Rockwell Automation's growth in products, solutions, and services. The consulting practices generate rapid growth and support growth of remediation activities performed by other technical department from our business areas, and partners.
The primary focus for the Consultant Network and Security Services:
Lead the NSS team on CSM to meet our goals and give the proper service to all our customers, sales force and distributors.
Be accountable for the financial results, deadline status, quality and customer satisfaction related to the projects and consulting under his responsibility, monitoring each step of the project execution to optimize and verify improvement opportunities.
Tighten continually his relationship with the customer, demonstrating interest and seeking more information on other processes and difficulties. Make available his complete professional experience with the aim of collaborating actively to the customer success.
Interact with the customer to detect and inform Sales area about new supply opportunities.
Understand customer need to create proper strategies with Sales team.
Participate in all the stages of network solutions, from Assess, Design/plan, implement, audit and manage/monitor.
Perform a pre-analysis of the global proposal together with the Sales Team for posterior submission to Authorization Committee, as well to defend technically the representation of the proposal to the customer.
