The People and Culture team (PaC) of 10 FTE is committed to building, supporting and retaining an Advancement team of highly engaged, diverse employees in an environment of inclusivity, creativity and excellence. As a member of this team, the Recruiter is responsible for performing recruiting functions to ensure a diverse, qualified candidate pool for all Advancement openings. This position establishes and maintains positive relationships with hiring managers to create and manage recruitment plans. Successful recruitment strategies include sourcing diverse candidate pools, evaluating candidates, creating a positive candidate experience and providing guidance and consultation to hiring managers throughout the sourcing and recruitment process.In addition to above, you will also be responsible for the following: Partnering with PaC team members and other stakeholders to ensure accuracy in data and providing ad-hoc reports as needed. Support the Pac teams with program supportPosition PurposeThe Office of Advancement Human Resources (UA HR) department's mission is to support staff in successfully meeting the goals of the University and the Office of Advancement by providing high quality and responsive human resources support to foster an exceptional work environment that encourages, nurtures and recognizes the professional development of employees. The Human Resources Specialist will be responsible for day-to-day office management and support for University Advancement Human Resources. The Human Resources Specialist will apply specialized HR knowledge to assist in resolving problems. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIESProgram SupportManage HR internal databases. (Access, Workday, etc.)Inputs employee data and verifies entries against forms or records.Generates and executes basic reports or queries and provides summaries of data for use in analysis or decision making; validates output against systems.Follows established procedures for updating, validating, and correcting employee records or other related HR data.Assists in the preparation of end-user documentation or training materials as needed.Coordinate and assist with disseminating information to all Advancement staff: answer questions regarding deadlines, updates, events and interdepartmental communications. Participate in the development of HR metrics. Manage and maintain UA HR metrics and tracking systems. Assist in the development of metrics for HR reporting and manage regular reports. Support the tracking and reconciliation of all procard and travel transactions for the HR team.Support the building and maintenance of personnel files for employees in Advancement. Recruiting & HiringParticipate in employment/recruitment activities such as: Screen resumes for minimum qualifications Schedule/conduct phone interviews Prepare recruitment packets for departments Respond to applicant inquiries Initiate and track criminal history background checks with UCHR staffBuild relationships with campus and non-campus partners to build candidate sourcing opportunities.Support internal and external advertising such as: Maintain and send weekly opportunities list to Advancement and other Affinity Group listservs and Social Media (LinkedIn) Post individual recruitments to designated external sites Reconcile receipts and partner with Finance & Administration to charge appropriate budgetsManage special projects as required. Program Development and SupportProvide project management support to Director for Human Resources. Collaborate, review and contribute to the deliverables prepared by Human Resources before forwarding for approval to Assistant VP. Coordinate program and compliance.Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately. Other duties as assigned. Equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills have been acquired may substitute for degree.Experience with support work in accounting, finance, policy or human resources administration.Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment.
