Summary of Duties: Independently perform complex administrative assignments for both Mechanical/Materials Engineering (MME) and Electrical Engineering/Computer Science (EECS) within the Voiland College of Engineering and Architecture (VCEA) on the Everett Campus. Duties include internal and external activities, special project coordination and administrative support. This position will also provide project management support to the team to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner.
The incumbent duties include explaining and interpreting complex policies and operating procedures; responding to inquiries; overseeing office operations such as mail, supplies, equipment, and maintenance requests. Maintaining and revising complex electronic data base files and records. In performing tasks, must apply knowledge of office goals and work commitments to ensure compliance with university regulations and requirements.
The incumbent is responsible for receiving purchase requests, making purchases, notifying customers of order status, logging transactions as they occur and reconciling purchasing documents. Additional responsibilities include making travel arrangements, communicating with travelers, and logging transactions as they occur.
This position has delegated authority to act in the absence of the Academic Coordinator 2 on the Everett Campus.
Required Qualifications: High School graduation or equivalent and two years of clerical experience; OR equivalent education/experience.
