Prospect Data Coordinator - Prospect Development, University Advancement - (19001984)
The Office of Prospect Development (OPD) gathers and analyzes information on, and facilitates and tracks communication with, the university's current and potential prospects and donors, including individuals, corporations and foundations. OPD is primarily responsible for one of UA's key strategic priorities: the expansion of the university's base of support, which complements the other fundamental priorities of building relationships and raising funds. OPD addresses this need by conducting sophisticated research and analysis, identifying new prospects, and managing the processes of assigning the most promising prospects to development officer portfolios and assessing portfolio performance. OPD is also responsible for maintaining current and accurate information on all prospects and ensuring the Advance database represents UA's full knowledge of prospect-related activity.
The office has an opening for a Prospect Data Coordinator. This person will assist member of the UA division, and in particular OPD, maintain the data for the division's fundraising database (Advance). In this role you will review information that is entered into the database for accuracy and integrity purposes and ensure consistency with documented business practices. Working closely with members of Prospect Development and other division members to resolve data discrepancies. This position will be a steward of UA's data with an eye towards a holistic understanding of the ramifications of poor data integrity.

Experience with databases and excel, preferably in fundraising.
Good analytical skills.
Detail and process oriented.
Problem solving and inquisitive.
Good writing and communication skills.
Knowledge and experience in data integrity, prospect research, management or related area of advancement.
Advanced Excel experience a plus: macros, VBA, formulas, querying and merging data.
Knowledge of fundraising related aspects of a research university is highly desired.
Experience querying complex databases (Advance).
Demonstrated project management skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize and meet frequent deadlines.
Proficiency in office software including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
Collaborate successful with many different types of people.
