The Facility Maintenance Manager reports to the Operations Program Manager and is responsible for launching and maintaining the Georgia expansion manufacturing facility equipment, supporting both the factory infrastructure and the production assets. This position is also responsible for helping to resolve customer complaints, implementing continuous improvement projects, and assisting other departments as necessary to resolve issues related to the production process.
Responsibilitiesinclude but not limited to:
Responsible for leading the effort of the GA expansion team in specifying, purchasing, and installing factory support infrastructure.
Leads the GA expansion maintenance team through a successful launch of the new facility.
Identifies and hires maintenance team members in accordance with the established manning plan.
Supports other departments in ensuring that all maintenance needs, related to both the facility and the production process, are met on time and within established budgets.
Establishes maintenance procedures and systems to support the new facility in achieving both facility and corporate objectives.
Works with maintenance leaders from other company organizations to establish best practices and common goals.
Independently troubleshoot problems and complete corrective actions on all manufacturing and facility infrastructure equipment.
Complete initial installations and set-up for all manufacturing and facility infrastructure equipment.
Assist Engineering and Production in testing new equipment installations.
Prepare requisitions for all spare and repair parts as required.
Supervise outside contractors on any and all work to be completed.
Plan and implement all new electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Ensure that all general electrical repairs are performed on-time.
Assist and advise Engineering and other support groups as required.
Perform necessary recordkeeping and paperwork.
Train and assist operators and other maintenance personnel as required.
Perform and direct necessary periodic maintenance on machines as required.
Use various testing devices, programming equipment, and chemicals according to appropriate guidelines and procedures.
Perform material handling activities using equipment, including forklifts, according to appropriate guidelines and procedures.
Participate in team problem solving as part of the departmental continuous improvement process.
Follow all safety rules and keep work area clean and in an orderly condition.
Wear all personal protective equipment as required by the safety policy.
Be responsible and accountable for the professional use of assigned work periods, machinery, equipment and tools.
Understand and perform to the Fox Quality Policy.
Develop and maintain a preventive/predictive maintenance system.
Develop and maintain a system of tracking equipment downtime and resources utilized to repair equipment, to include generating corrective actions for equipment with excessive downtime.
Education - Bachelors' degree in Engineering or Operations Management from a four-year college or university is required, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of seven (7) years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Communication and Language skills – Organized, technical communication skills; must have the ability to give, receive, and analyze information, formulate work plans, and articulate goals and action plans.
Excellent knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
