Under the general supervision of the Director of Digital Transformation within the Division of Information Technology Services, the incumbent will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of complex Digital Transformation projects and assisting in the development and maintenance of the campus web, mobile, and smart technologies.
Typical Activities 55% of time - Coordinate and deliver Digital Transformation projects and assist in the development and maintenance of the campus web, mobile, and smart technology products and features. Work with campus or community stakeholders to understand their needs and how a project's outcomes will address them. Develop roadmaps and timelines for projects to ensure timely and successful completion. 20% of time - Develop processes and methods to improve the way that web, mobile, and smart technology projects, products and features are planned, built, supported, maintained, assessed, marketed, promoted, and improved. Document business and technical requirements. Assist in the quality assurance and acceptance testing process. 20% of time - Assist in defining, analyzing, and driving key metrics that accurately measure success. Help measure the success of our product features, new programs, and tools we create and support. Help determine how we can do better through continuous improvement. 05% of time - Other duties as assigned in support of the Division of Information Technology Services and the success of students, faculty, and staff.
Minimum Qualifications Minimum Requirements
The equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in science, technology, management, business, design or related field.
Minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in project management and web technologies.
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills and the ability to listen intently and understand individual perspective and needs.
Understanding of the processes required to both build the right things and to build them correctly.
Ability to understand how users most effectively interact with technical products.
Working knowledge of technologies and techniques used to build web applications.
Experience working in a higher education environment with faculty, staff, students, and administrators.
Understanding of the utility of languages and markup such as PHP, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery or other similar programming languages, along with various database technologies and their designed usage patterns.
Knowledge of or experience in the following: Drupal development environment; fixed, fluid, and responsive designs; attention to detail and testing across multiple browsers and platforms; ability to leverage and extend open source widgets; and modify custom Drupal modules using Drupal API.
A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU.
