The UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy invites applications for a full-time biostatistician to serve as a fixed term Assistant/Associate Professor in the Division of Pharmacotherapy and Experimental Therapeutics (DPET).
As a faculty member, this individual will be responsible for teaching School of Pharmacy graduate students, professional students, and postdoctoral trainees applied biostatistics and quantitative biostatistics methods. This would include serving as a graduate course director and instructor.
This individual will also be responsible for providing research design and biostatistics analysis support to research projects conducted by DPET faculty and collaborative research projects conducted as part of the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy and UNC Medical Center Department of Pharmacy Partnership in Patient Care initiative.
Education and Experience:
Applicants should have training and experience in statistical analysis and research methods, analysis experience using multiple statistical analysis software packages (SAS, R, etc.), a desire to teach applied biostatistics in both didactic and consultation settings, and excellent project management and communication skills.
Preference will be given to applicants who have experience providing statistical analysis support to clinical or health care related research projects, and teaching applied biostatistics methods to professional and/or graduate students.
