The Research Project Manager will lead the coordination and management of four key projects that all relate to how data and evidence is used to drive government performance. The key responsibilities for this role include:
Work closely with faculty, research fellows, and research assistants to scope, design, and execute on four research projects.
Ensure sufficient capacity is allocated to address each project.
Recruit, hire, and onboard research assistants whose skills and interests match project needs.
Provide feedback and input to project team members.
Manage timelines and deliverables for each project.
Support alignment across the portfolio of research projects on the role of data and evidence in driving government performance.
Forge connections between research projects, especially those that cross disciplines.
Provide regular communication and coordination across the research teams.
Link projects to other BHCLI programs and incorporate participant insights into data-driven governance.
Ensure that all research projects are aligned to overall research agenda and reflect an orientation toward practice.
Manage infrastructure for communication and coordination.
Coordinate knowledge sharing within and across research project teams.
Schedule, organize, and arrange meetings and larger convenings.
Liaise between research project teams and other contributors to ensure that all parties are clear about expectations and are effectively collaborating.
Help ensure everyone involved is meeting expectations and providing timely deliverables.

Make substantive contributions to the work, including master scoping documents and overview materials
Review materials and solicit needed feedback from program collaborators and other practitioners to ensure relevance to the field of practice.

Collaborate with colleagues to identify recommendations for improvements

Bachelor's Degree and minimum of 5 years of experience (inclusive of graduate education) and progressively responsible experience.
Knowledge of research methodologies and processes and ability to provide feedback on a variety of research designs
Experience in city government, organizations that support cities, and/or higher education
Strong teammate with an ability to build productive relationships and lead work across all levels of a diverse organization
Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders including faculty, staff, and researchers
Skill in managing multiple diverse activities simultaneously, delivering on commitments, and operating with speed, accuracy, and strong judgment
Ability to make decisions in a changing environment and while anticipating future needs
Ability to drive to big picture goals while maintaining a strong attention to detail
