Mid-Pacific seeks a Registrar II: Scheduler, full-time. Reporting to the Student Records Department Manager, the Registrar: Scheduler manages and maintains student records, creates student and course schedules, and supports the functions of the Records Office. This includes oversight of the Student Information System (SIS) and the Learning Management System (LMS). The Registrar must be adept with databases and pride themselves on organization and attention to detail. Moreover, the registrar must be collaborative and team-oriented. The Registrar Scheduler works closely with the Assistant Principal of Academics and the Middle School Principal to determine course offerings for the upcoming year and develop the course catalog (digital and print). The Scheduler will drive the scheduling of academic courses, including a calendar of events, room assignments, special schedules, and balance of course sections for High School, Middle School, and Elementary School. The Scheduler will create materials for student selection of courses and produce summary documents related to the schedule as well as individual student schedules. The Scheduler will also create waivers for specific courses by collecting information on prior course activity. The Scheduler will create a master calendar of course locations and assignments. The Scheduler will also order and manage student book orders, digital subscriptions, and other required course items.
An Associate or Bachelor’s degree is required. Experience in a fast-paced, high volume work environment is desirable. Experience with the Blackbaud data system, Google applications, Microsoft Office, and the latest in commercial communications platforms is preferred. Experience with handling confidential information with proper protocol and in adherence to FERPA regulations is preferred. The position requires excellent communication skills and interpersonal tact. As a service provider, the position holder should be able to quickly evaluate issues and be able to direct needs to proper departments/personnel. This position holder will be cross-trained on all registrar positions to enable seamless service to our customers if a team member is not available. Further, a high level of interest in and knowledge about the school as a whole will be expected. This “team orientation” and willingness to collaborate is another essential requirement for the position. Another required skill is computational thinking; identifying, analyzing, and implementing possible solutions with the goal of achieving the most efficient and effective combination of steps and resources.
