The Communications Coordinator provides critical operational, project coordination, and marketing/communications planning and execution support for the school's marketing communications team. Reporting to the Senior Associate Dean, the Coordinator is the main point of contact, project manager, and customer service lead for a wide range of digital marketing/communications projects under the management of the office, which enhance recruitment and engagement efforts for the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.
The Communications Coordinator works with partners throughout the University at Buffalo (UB) to facilitate projects related to creating engaging, user-centered websites, web pages and stories. In this position, you will:
Track requests for communications, training, website, design; document delivery dates to assist team with setting priorities. Delegate tasks to appropriate staff. Regularly assess portfolio of projects and prioritize work.
Manage content for department website, social media accounts, email newsletter and other communication.
Provide CMS production support, including content review/revision, publishing, et cetera.
Assure compliance with the university's identity and brand marketing and communication policies and procedures.
Provide support and training for the web content management system.
Bachelor's degree required or significant work experience in related work environments.
