Hephzibah Children’s Association is a social service agency in Oak Park, IL that has been helping children thrive and families flourish through innovative community based programs for more than one hundred years. The agency programs include two residential group homes for young children, foster care and intact family support programs, Head Start and after school and summer day care programs for elementary aged students.
We have an opening for a part time Donor Relations Manager to manage relationships between Hephzibah and its donors to ensure high quality interactions with the agency that in turn foster long-term engagement and investment. The Manager will develop and support corporate engagement opportunities and when appropriate represent the agency at corporate functions. Manage and prioritize Hephzibah in-kind program requests and respond to all in-kind donation inquiries.
Provide additional assistance as part of Development Department team for fundraising events and projects throughout the year. Provide a variety of support including word processing, data entry, file maintenance, report preparation, project management, and office organization.
Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Social Services or related field
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong leadership and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and work effectively with co-workers.
Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Power Point; demonstrated proficiency with websites, media and social networking.
Ability to use good judgment, discretion, and tact in dealing with staff, clients, volunteers, board members, auxiliaries, donors, and the public.
Attention to detail, ability to establish and set priorities, meet deadlines, manage multiple tasks and demands.
Flexibility in work schedule including occasional evening and weekend work.
Valid IL driver’s license and good driving record
Sensitivity and responsiveness to the cultural differences in the staff and client populations.
