The School of Business MS in Business Analytics & Project Management (MSBAPM) Program is seeking a full-time Program Assistant 2. The incumbent will report to the MSBAPM Program Administrator and will perform administrative functions and provide support for the program in Stamford. The position will be based at the Stamford campus. Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required in support of program needs. In-state travel may also be required on occasion in support of program events and activities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include but are not limited to:
Performing office management duties; overseeing the processing of administrative paperwork; providing administrative support for the program faculty and staff.
Coordinating program logistics and administrative support.
Representing the program and program administrator to University offices, the public, and external constituents.
Supervising, training and evaluating student employees; determining student employee work schedules and assignments.
Compiling, benchmarking, assessing and reporting program data as requested.
Assisting with course scheduling for program cohorts in Stamford.
Inputting finalized course schedules into the University’s student administration system and serving as the Stamford program’s liaison to the University Registrar’s Office.
Assisting with the processing of special payroll requests and paperwork to hire adjunct instructors and instructional specialists.
Maintaining and ordering office supplies.
Assisting with maintaining the program’s HuskyCT site; monitoring and updating the program website.
Making arrangements for catering, room reservations and technology needs for Stamford program activities such as orientations, graduation and student engagement events.
Representing the program at information sessions and other recruitment events as necessary.
Monitoring and approving routine program expenditures; assisting with maintaining and monitoring program budget and records as needed.
Assisting with the maintenance of filing and record keeping systems for the program.
Completing special short-term or ongoing projects as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in related field.
Three to five years of related experience, which demonstrates considerable knowledge of administrative methods and subject areas.
Demonstrated ability to independently provide significant program support.
Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, students, administrators as well as external agencies/groups and the public.
Demonstrated organizational skills and experience working independently and accurately.
Demonstrated experience taking initiative and exercising sound judgment when making decisions and meeting deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and execute events.
Proven experience working well as part of a team.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Demonstrated supervisory ability.
Willingness and ability to work evening and weekend hours on occasion in support of department and/or program activities.
Willingness and ability to travel in-state on occasion in support of department and/or program activities.
Demonstrated experience working in an academic higher education environment in a University setting.
Demonstrated experience working with mature students, executives, and other professionals.
Experience working with international student populations.
Demonstrated experience using PeopleSoft or another student administration system.
Demonstrated experience using Slate, or another student recruitment/application CRM system.
Demonstrated experience using HuskyCT or another student portal.
Demonstrated experience with Aurora WordPress or similar software for updating websites.
This is a full-time position based in Stamford, CT.
