DUTIES: The Senior Programmer Analyst will report to the Associate Director for Programming & Application Development. The HL7 Integration Engineer serves an important role among the Streamline Health Client Services team. The HL7 Integration Engineer is responsible for integrating solutions as part of as project team. This role works directly with all ancillary clinical system Administrators and requires the ability to foster strong relationships for continued support and system enhancement. The HL7 Integration Engineer must have the ability to prioritize and participate in various projects while working independently and operating with good communication and interpersonal skills. The job requires implementations using standard methodology to create repeatable, on time quality integration implementations. Duties and responsibilities include the following: - Lead in creation of technical requirements and functional specifications documents for new systems and technical processes - Detailed understanding of process and challenges involved during planning, documentation, implementations and deployments. - Works with Project Managers, Project Teams and client counterparts to implement processes for Enterprise Content Management, Clinical Analytics and Coding platforms as part of solution implementation. - Arranges project requirements in programming sequence by analyzing requirements; preparing a work flow chart and diagram using knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter, programming language, and logic. - Supervise a small team responsible for the development, configuration, and integration of the clinical and financial systems implementation within the organization. - Lead and perform testing and debugging of software developed; interpret error messages and solve problems through independent analysis. - Implement technical solutions based on established team process - Present technical information to various audiences and seek approval ranging from the client, developer, to project manager and IT Leadership. - Participate in the evaluation of complex business requirements; lead the modeling and development of system requirements. - Analyze complex technical systems problems; design and implement effective solutions. - Participate on cross functional teams as a Subject Matter Expert and provide assistance in architecting and designing technical solutions to business challenges. - Experience in design and development of data warehouse for enterprise-wide reporting services - Reliable, Responsible, dedicated, committed and fulling obligations (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE ABOVE POSITION DESCRIPTION) QUALIFICATIONS: Required: - Master's degree in computer science or related field experienced. - Experience with Eagle 2000, Cerner LIS, Allscripts SCM Data Structure and dictionary including ETL process is required. - Advanced understanding of structured programming, types of databases, file structures and programming tools. - 5+ years of experience with programming design of software solutions and integration in highly complex computer systems. - Programming languages include Visual Basic, .Net, T-SQL, C, C ++, C#, Java, Python, and SAP Data Integrator. - Experienced with major Healthcare solutions and Ancillary Systems. - 5+ years of experience with circuit switching, artificial engineering and Cerner Open Engine.
